I recently had a fantastic stay at an onsen hotel in Japan. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, always going above and beyond to assist with any needs. They even arranged transport for us to the slopes, making our ski adventure hassle-free. Additionally, the onsen facilities were absolutely wonderful, providing a rejuvenating and relaxing experience at the start or end of each day. The hotel's attention to detail was evident in the comfortable rooms, which had the perfect set-up for our large group, giving us a cozy and familial feeling throughout our stay. Furthermore, the delicious breakfast provided a great start to the day, and the option to have dinner arranged by the staff was greatly appreciated.
There was nothing that I found needing improvement during my stay.

I had a fantastic stay at a charming ryokan with a lovely onsen. The rooms were spacious and the onsen was a great way to relax after a day on the slopes. The hotel provided shuttle service to the ski resort and even took us to a local restaurant one night. Despite the language barrier, the staff were always polite and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel for a traditional Japanese experience.

The breakfast and dinner were amazingly delicious and beautifully presented, it was like a feast every morning and night. the staff were friendly, always smiling and gave us great recommendations for nearby places to visit. We also loved the convenience of being able to book a private onsen and enjoy it on the rooftop, the view was stunning.
The rooms lacked basic amenities like a shower. We had to use only a sink and a toilet, which was inconvenient and uncomfortable.

Our New Year experience was amazing! We were blown away by the delicious Japanese cuisine served for breakfast and dinner. The hot springs were also a real highlight, with stunning views of the snow-capped mountains. Another great aspect was the complimentary shuttle service to the nearby ski resorts, making getting around a breeze. The spacious surroundings and Japanese art on display added to the overall experience.
We did have a bit of trouble communicating with the staff, as our Japanese is limited, so it was sometimes difficult to get information about the area. some of the equipment rentals were a bit outdated, but considering the affordable price point, it was still a great value.
